Top iPhone Apps

There are over 50,000 downloadable apps available for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch which cover an enormous spectrum of interests and topics. Many have proved to be unworthy of the time and money spent on them but there are others which are well worth the bother. Below is a list of the top ten apps which have proved to be popular for the year 2009.

The first app is the Midomi Ultra which costs in the region of £3 to download. Midomi allows you to hum a tune that you fail to recognise the title of and immediately provides you with all the relevant details. Lyrics and video clips are reproduced on your iPhone and there are even links to YouTube videos.

In second place is the IPassword Pro app which allows you to store all those important passwords you fail to remember. It also generates random passwords and can paste data into the iPhone’s browser. Flashlight is a free application which comes in at third place. It is a very clever app which converts the screen into a torch when you are in the dark. It has proven to be very popular due to its practicality.

Further top apps include Yelp which functions a bit like Yellow Pages, WorldView Live that provides access to worldwide webcams, NetNewsWire relating to news stories from around the world, and WunderRadio which allows you to tune in to over 36,000 radio stations on your iPhone.

The fake Calls application is also amongst the top ten rated apps from Apple along with Howcast and Chess with friends which are both free to download.
